  1. WEEK 27 Monday, March 20th 2023 Unit 16: Where’s the post office? Lesson 2 (4. 5. 6) A. Objectives: By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Ask and answer questions about means of transports. - Listen and write one word in each box. - Read and complete gapped conversations, using the words provided. - Play the game: Giving Directions. - Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills. - Listening, writing, reading and speaking. 3. Attitude/ Quality: - Studious and obedient students and love their hometown, family and friends. - Educate Ss how to keep safe and prevent accidents. 4. Forming competence: - Co-operation (ready to help friends in pair work/ groupwork). - Self-study (can perform individual tasks and solve problems by themselves). B. Methods: - Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practising, discussion group, technical present.... C. Preparation. 1.Teacher’s preparation: CDs player, stereo, book. 2.Student’s preparation: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks. D. Procedures. I. Warm up: Play the game “Turning” - T controls 3 teams do the following actions: Go straight ahead/ stop/ turn right/ turn left - Which team do rightly will win II. New lesson: 1. Listen and write one words in the box: - Have sts to look at the pictures with means of transport given - Elicit the names of means of transport and students in the table - Give instruction. - Play the recording twice for pupils listen and write the names of means of transport into the boxes - Ask sts to compare the answers with the partner. - Play the recording again for sts to check their answers. - Announce the answers.
  2. - Ask some questions to ensure sts’ comprehension of the listening text. *Key: 1. boat 2. taxi 3. coach 4. plane 2. Read and complete: - Tell sts that they are going to complete the 2 dialogues with the 6 words and given. - Give sts few seconds to read the dialogues in silence. - Check comprehension and give feedback. - Give sts time to do the task and go around and offer help if necessary - Get sts to work in pairs. - Get sts to swap and check their answers before checking as a class. - Divide the class into two groups and get them to read aloud the dialogue * Key: 1. trip 2. zoo 3. foot 4. How 5. welcome - Have sts read aloud the passage 3. Let’s play: Giving directions - Explain how the game is played - Show the map - Model - Have sts play the game in pairs - Call some pairs asking and giving the directions aloud - Give feedback III. Wrap-up: - Have ss to practice speaking at home. Unit 16: Where’s the post office? Lesson 3 (1. 2. 3) A. Objectives: By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Say the sentences with the correct intonation. + Where’s the post office? ̶ It’s opposite the stadium. + Where’s the cinema? ̶ It’s next to the post office. + Where’s the supermarket? ̶ It’s on the corner of the street. - Listen and circle the letters showing the correct answers. Then ask and answer. - Say the chant: How can we get there? - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills. - Develop listening and speaking skill. 3. Attitude/ Quality: - Studious and obedient students and love their hometown, family and friends. - Educate Ss how to keep safe and prevent accidents. 4. Forming competence: - Co-operation (Ready to help friends in pair work/ groupwork).

Warm up: Dialogue Build - Have sts give ideas step by step the dialogue to ask and answer the directions - Have some pairs read aloud II. New lesson: 1. Listen and repeat: - Have sts to look at the overhead’s screen, draw their attention to the sentences - Play CD for sts listen - Have sts repeat the focused on the sentence intonation a few times. - Play the recording twice and ask Ss to repeat - Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary/ correct typical pronunciation errors. - Call on someone to read aloud. - Give feedback 2. Listen and circle a or b. Then ask and answer: - Have pupils look at the questions with pairs of the answers given - Tell sts that they are going to listen and circle answer a or b - Play CD – sts listen and circle - Get sts’ answer - Give feedback * Key: 1. b; 2. b; 3. a; - Have sts practice in pairs to ask and answer - Call some pairs say aloud - Give feedback 3. Let’s chant - Show the chant “How can we get there?” - Have sts run through the sentences - Ask sts read aloud - Check comprehension (Where’s the supermarket? How to get there?...) - Ask sts to read aloud each line in the chant and clap their hands. - Ask them to listen again and repeat. - Have sts practice the chant in groups. - Call each group perform.

Wednesday, March 22nd 2023 Unit 16: Where’s the post office? Lesson 3 (4-7) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Give intonation correctly. - Read the paragraph, and do the tasks. - Read the gapped exchanges, and fill the directions, using the map. - Draw a simple map to show the way to their house from their school. - Colour the stars showing their English competences. 2. Skills. - Develop speaking and reading skill. 3. Attitude/ Quality: - Studious and obedient students and love their hometown, family and friends. - Educate Ss how to keep safe and prevent accidents. 4. Forming competence: - Co-operation (Ready to help friends in pair work/ groupwork). - Self-study (can perform individual tasks and solve problems by themselves). - Use language to talk about the listening task and read the chant. II. Write the directions: - Have sts look at the map about places - Have them read the questions given - Get some sts answer aloud - Checking understanding how to write - Have sts write the answers in 5 mins - Get sts swap and read their writing in pairs - Invite two or three sts to read their writing task - Get sts give feedback - Check and correct * Key: 1. Go straight ahead. Turn right at Orange Street. The park is on the corner of Orange Street and Apple Street. 2. Go straight ahead. Turn right at Pear Street. The pharmacy is on the corner of Pear street and Apple street/ opposite the cinema. 3. Project: Draw a map to show your way to your home from your school - Elicit sts tell class the way they go home from school - Have sts work in groups, one member talks about directions, others listen - Set the time for Sts do the task (draw the map) - Go around and check their work - Comment - Call one st retell in front of the class III. Wrap-up: Colour the stars - Have the class read the statements and check their comprehension - Invite sts to read statements aloud - Check their understanding the meaning - Give them to colour about degree that they got after the Unit 16 - Getting their ideas about difficulties to help.
  6. Unit 17: What would you like to eat? Lesson 1 (1- 3) I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Ask and answer questions about what the other speaker would like to eat or drink. - Sentence Patterns: What would you like to eat / drink? – I’d like ____, please. - Vocabulary: a packet of biscuits, a bar of chocolate, a glass of orange juice, a carton of lemonade 2. Skills. - Listening and speaking. 3. Attitude/ Quality: - Be confident in communicating with friends/ teachers. - Educate Ss how to keep healthy - Positive about eating habits - Students know how to learn English in right way. 4. Forming competence: - Co-operation (ready to help friends in pair work / groupwork). - Self-study (can perform individual tasks and solve problems by themselves). - Using language to talk about what someone would like to eat or drink. II. Methods: - Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practising, discussion group, technical present.... I’d like some rice and fish. 2. Point and say: - Teach vocabulary: a bowl, packet/ bar/ glass, bscuit, chocolate - Note write down new words and read after T. Play game: What and where (Whole class) - Say phrases under the pictures. - Model sentence. - Monitor the activity and offer help, if necessary. - Look and find out the model sentences. - Point the pictures and practise asking and answering question: What would you like to eat/ drink? I’d like a packet of biscuits. - Have sts use the prompts under the pictures to practice asking and answering. - All pairs perform their task at the front of the class. The rest of the class observe and give comments. 3. Let’s Talk: - Give tasks. - Talking about what someone would like to eat/drink, using: What would you like to eat/ drink? I’d like some . - Ss work in pairs. - Monitor the activity and offer help, if necessary. - Pupils practise answering the questions with information about themselves. - Have stst play the “Pass the ball” game to askand answer aloud - Correct their pronunciation and mistake III. Wrap-up: - Summary the lesson - Have sts practice speaking at home.
