  1. WEEK 3 UNIT 2: I ALWAYS GET UP EARLY. HOW ABOUT YOU? LESSON 2 (1 - 3) Time: Monday, September 19th 2022 A. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Pronounce the words with the stress on the first syllable: 'always, 'usually, 'often, 'sometimes. - Listen and circle the correct letters showing the words filling the gapped sentences. - Say the chant: What do you do in the morning? - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills: - Listening, and speaking skills 3. Attitude/ Quality: - Be confident in communicating with friends/ teachers. - Should have good habits. - Love themselves. 4. Competences: - Co-operation (ready to help friends in pair work/ group work). - Self-study (can perform individual tasks and solve problems by themselves). - Use language to pronounce the stress of frequency words through doing listening task and read the chant. B. LANGUAGE FOCUS - Sentence Patterns: - How often .. .? + I .. every day, - Vocabulary: every day, once/ twice a week/ month C.   2. - Have sts look at the pictures and guess what the story is about - Check comprehension by pointing at each picture to elicit their answers for: + What’s his name? + Who’s she? + What’s she doing? - Play CD for sts listen and follow in their books - Play again – sts repeat - Some Ss role play and the others comment. - Ask Ss to role play - Ask Ss to role play before the class. => Elicit the modal sentences: Nam: How often do you come to the library? Activity 3: Point and say - Have pupils look at pictures. - Run through the phrases and words - Use flashcards to teach the question and answer in the speech bubbles. - Have sts repeat the phrases a few times. - Model (a) Nam: How often do you study with your partner? Mai: I study with my partner every day. - Give instruction - Point to each picture and how often they do things to fill the gaps. - Have sts to repeat the sentences a few times. - Repeat the procedure with the second picture. - Ask sts work in pairs. - Call some pairs practice in front of the class. - Check sts’ mistake when necessary. - Make a few questions to check pupils’ comprehension of the language. - Have the whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus to reinforce their ronunciation. Activity 4: Let’s talk - Have stst read aloud 2 questions given - Tell the class that they are going to practice further by asking and answering questions about frequency - Run through. - Give instruction. - Model: A: What do you do in the morning? B: I often go to school. A: How often do you go to school? B: I go to school every day. - Give sts 3 mins for sts practice (about themselves) - Get sts to work in groups of three to interact. - Call a few pairs to practise in front of the class.

LESSON 2 (4 - 6) Time: From Monday – Wednesday, September (19th -21st) 2022 A. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Ask and answer questions about someone’s address - Ask and answer questions about frequency - Listen and number the pictures. - Write about their daily routines, using the guiding questions. - Do the crossword puzzle. - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills - Listening, writing and speaking. 3. Attitude/ Quality - Be confident in communicating with friends/ teachers. - Should have good habits. - Love themselves. 4. Forming competence - Co-operation (ready to help friends in pair work/ groupwork). - Self-study (can perform individual tasks and solve problems by themselves). - Use language to talk about frequency. B. INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES - Students’ book (page 11) - Situational pictures and activity pictures on page 11 - pictures of addresses - Laptop, TV C. LEARNING PLAN Warm up: Interview - What’s your name? - Where are you from? - What do you do in the morning? - How often do you go to school? Activity 1. Listen and number - Have pupils look at the pictures given - Elicit the activities in the pictues - Get sts say aloud - Tell the pupils that they are going to listen to 4 dialogues and number the pictures in order
  4. - Play the recording twice for pupils listen and number - Compare the answers with the partners. - Play the recording again pupils check their answers. - T gets the answer: - Have pupils act out the dialogues in pairs or groups for correction. - Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text. * Answer: 1- b ; 2 - c ; 3 – d ; 4 - a Activity 2. Write about your daily routine - Have pupils look at the questions given - Ask pupils what they do this part - Tell them that they are going to write the answer base on the questions about daily routine - Call on a pupil to write on the board and other pupils write in the notebooks in individuals. - Have pupils discuss their answers in pairs for correction. - Have pupils comment the answer on the board. - Call some pupils read aloud their work in front of the class. - Have the class chorally read each line. * Suggested answer: 1. I always go to school 2. I usually play football. 3. Yes, I do./ No, I don’t. 4. I watch TV every day. Activity 3. Activity 4. Wrap -up Summary the lesson - In this lesson, sts have learned how to make stress the words with 2 syllables - Practice chanting. UNIT 2: I ALWAYS GET UP EARLY. HOW ABOUT YOU? LESSON 3 (4 - 6) Time: Thursday, September 22nd 2022 A. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: 1. Knowledge - Pronounce correctly the stress of the two syllable adverbs - Read the paragraph, and answer the questions. - Write about their days, using the writing frame. - Interview two classmates about their daily routines. - Colour the stars showing their English competences. 2. Skills: - Listening, reading, writing and speaking skills 3. Attitude/ Quality - Be confident in communicating with friends/ teachers. - Should have good habits. - Love themselves. 4. Competences
