  1. WEEK 31 UNIT 15: WHEN’S CHILDREN’S DAY? LESSON 2. 4 + LESSON 3 (4 + 5) Time: Wednesday, May 4th 2022 A. OBJECTIVES - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge - Listen and circle the the activities festivals - Read read the text about Tet and complete the sentences. - Write write a short paragraph about Tet. - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills: listening, reading and writing 3. Attitudes/ Quality - To help Ss know how to talk about the festivals 4. Forming competence - Communication - Self- study - Apply what they have learned to solve learning tasks - Present in front of the class B. LANGUAGE FOCUS - Sentence Patterns: My name is . At (Tet) I often . C. INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES - laptop, loudspeaker - poster D. LEARNING PLAN Activity 1. Warm – up 1. Recite the chant: Would you like some fish? 2. Write some kinds of food and drink Activity 2. Listen and circle - Have pupils look at the sentences given and activities in pairs - Get sts read aloud the words - Let them guess the words in the blanks from the pairs of words given - Give feedback - Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and circle the words they hear to complete the sentences. - Play the recording twice for pupils to listen and circle - Check their guess. Compare the answer with the partner. - Play the recording again pupils check their answers. - T gives the answer: - Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text. * Answer: 1. b 2. b 3. a 4. a Activity 3. Read and write - Tell the class that they are going to read the text about Tet and complete the sentences.

Then ask them to read the email and focus on the information needed to complete the sentences. - Get pupils to work in pairs to discuss the possible information to complete the sentences. - Give Ss time to do the task independently. Go around and offer help, if necessary. - Get pupils to swap and check their answers before checking as a class. - Get Ss to give their answers. Key: 1. Write about your Tet - Tell pupils that they are going to write a short paragraph about Tet. They may use the information from activity 4. - Have them look at the given words and decide what they are going to write. - Ask them to discuss what they do at Tet in groups or pairs. - Give pupils time to do the task independently. - Get pupils to swap their answers before checking as a class. Knowledge - Listen and circle circle the words they hear to complete the sentences with places and things to buy - Do the reading comprehension and writing task about where someone want to go and the reasons. - Write places the people want to go and the reasons why - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills: listening, reading and writing 3. Attitudes/ Quality - To help Ss know how to talk about the places and things to buy and where someone want to go with the reasons. 4.
