- WEEK 27 UNIT 18: WHAT’S YOUR PHONE NUMBER? LESSON 3 (1 - 3) Time: Monday, April 4th 2022 A. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge - Pronounce the words with stress respectively. - Pronounce two-syllable words with the stress on the second syllable re'peat, en'joy, in'vite, and com'plete. - Read the gapped sentences, listen and circle the letters showing the correct words filling the gaps. Then say the completed sentences aloud. - Say the chant I’d like to invite you to my party. - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills - Listening, writing and speaking. 3. Attitudes/ Quality - Ss look after, solve problems and study themselves. - Studious and obedient students and love their family. 4. Forming competence - Communication and co-operation. - Problem solving and creativity B. LANGUAGE FOCUS - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision C. INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES - laptop, TV/ loudspeaker D. LEARNING PLAN Activity 1. Warm -up Retelling the way to stress the nouns with two syllables Activity 2. Listen and repeat - Have pupils look at the poster with the content of part 1 (sts’ book – Page 56) - Tell them they are going to learn how to pronoun the stress sounds with different verbs that have 2 syllables. - Play Cd for sts listen and repaet the words and sentences given - Pronoun the word: re‘peat - Pronoun the word: en‘joy - Pronoun the word: in‘vite - Pronoun the word: com‘plete - Play the recording again for the whole class to repeat each verb to know the stress. - Give the notes how to stress rightly with the verbs with 2 syllables - Have sts give more words to practice Activity 3. Look, listen. Then say the sentences aloud - Have pupils look at sentences and pairs of verbs given.
- - Tell the pupils that they are going to listen to 4 dialogues and circle the verbs say aloud - Get sts’ answers - Give feedback * Key: 1- a; 2- b; 3-b; 4-a - Play the recording twice for pupils listen and repeat. - Play the recording for sts say along - Have pupils practice saying the 4 sentences Activity 4. Let’s chant: I’d like to invite you to my party - Put the piece of paper with the chant from Page 56 written on it on the board - Tell pupils that they are going to chant - Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen as they read. Clap the syllables. - Play the recording again for pupils to repeat each line of the chant and clap the syllables. - Call on some pupils to perform the chant at the front of the class. The rest of the class observe and give comments if possible. Activity 5. Wrap -up - Summary the lesson - Tell sts to find other verbs that have 2 syllables and ptactice stressing them UNIT 19: WHAT ANIMAL DO YOU WANT TO SEE? LESSON 1 (1+ 2) Time: Wednesday, April 6th 2022 A. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge - Ask and answer questions about someone's desire. - Pupils can ask and answer questions about what animal the other speaker wants to see. - Sentence Patterns: What animal do you want to see? ̶ I want to see ______. - Vocabulary: kangaroos, crocodiles, tigers, elephants 2. Skills - Develop Ss speaking and listening skills 3. Attitudes/ Quality - Live responsibly - Confident in learning and practice situations 4. Forming competence - Self- study. - Communication and co-operation. B. LANGUAGE FOCUS - Sentence Patterns: What animal do you want to see? ̶ I want to see ______. - Vocabulary: kangaroos, crocodiles, tigers, elephants C. INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES - laptop, TV D. Look, listen and repeat - Have pupils turn their books to Page 58 - Ask pupils about the characters in the pictures: Nam and Mai - Elicit information from the pictures - Explain the meaning of the language practiced - Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen, and point to the appropriate line in their books. - Play the recording again for pupils to repeat the lines in the speech bubbles. - Repeat the steps a few times. - Some Ss role play and the others comment. - Ask Ss to role play. - Ask Ss to role play before the class - get sts’ ideas about the model sentences: - What animal do you want to see? + I want to see monkeys. Activity 3. Point and say - Get sts say about the names of animals in the pictures given - Run through the names of animals in the pictures - Sts listen, point and repeat along - Explain the pattern: - What animal do you want to see? + I want to see monkeys. - Ask pupils to point and say names of animals by asking and answing with: “What animal do you want to see?” - Have pupils look at names of animals, use the model sentences to ask and annswer about desire - Model * Pairwork: - Monitor the activity, check the pronunciation - Call on all pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. - The rest of the class observe and give comments if possible. Activity 4. Wrap up - Retell the content of the lesson. - At home: Tell about what animals do you want to see on a farm UNIT 19: WHAT ANIMAL DO YOU WANT TO SEE? LESSON 2 (1- 3) Time: Friday, April 8th 2022 A. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge
- - Express reasons why they like or do not like animals. - Sentence Patterns: I like _____ because _____. / ̶ I don’t like ___because _____. - Vocabulary: tigers – crocodiles – scary; bears, elephants, big / zebras, beautiful / kangaroos, fast. 2. Skills - Develop Ss speaking and listening skills 3. Attitudes/ Quality - Live responsibly - Confident in learning and practice situations 4. Forming competence - Self- study. - Communication and co-operation. B. LANGUAGE FOCUS - Sentence Patterns: I like _____ because _____. / ̶ I don’t like ___because _____. - Vocabulary: tigers – crocodiles – scary; bears, elephants, big / zebras, beautiful / kangaroos, fast. Activity 3: Point and say - Ask Sts to look at animals and Characteristics given. - Play CD for sts listen and repeat all animals and Characteristics - Read the words and have pupils read in chorus, individuals. - Explain the pattern: I like .. because I don’t like because . - Ask pupils about what they get information to express the reasons - Tell them that they are going to give an invitation for other respond

Let’s talk - Ask them to read the questions and uncompleted sentences given: - What animal do you want to see? - I like .. because - I don’t like . because .. - Model - Ask pupils work in pairs to ask, answer and express reasons why they like or not about animals - Monitor the activity, check the pronunciation - Call on some sts to perform the task at the front of the class. The rest of the class observe and give comments if possible. Activity 5. Wrap – up - Summary the lesson - Have sts do the ex C in WB. - Say Why you like/ don’t like 3 kinds of animals
