- WEEK 20 UNIT 13: WOULD YOU LIKE SOME MILK? LESSON 1. 4 + LESSON 3 (4 + 5) Time: Monday, January 24th 2022 A. OBJECTIVES - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge - Listen and tick the the correct pictures with food and drinks - Read the paragraph and complete the table. - Read the writing frame, and write about their favourite food and drink. - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills: listening, reading and writing 3. Attitudes/ Quality - Educate Ss how to keep healthy - Positive about recipes and eating habits - Students know how to learn English in right way - Confident in learning and practice situations 4. Forming competence - Communication and co-operation. - Problem solving and creativity B. LANGUAGE FOCUS - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision C. INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES - laptop, loudspeaker, overhead - poster D. LEARNING PLAN Activity 1. Warm – up Recite the chant: Would you like some fish? and do action. Activity 2. Listen and tick - Have pupils read the 3 questions given with food and drink - Get sts say aloud - Tell the pupils that they are going to listen to 3 dialogues and tick the correct pictures with their favourite food and drink. - Play the recording twice for pupils listen and tick the correct answers. - Compare the answers with the partners. - Play the recording again pupils check their answers. - T gets the answer: - Have pupils act out the dialogues in pairs or groups for correction. - Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text. * Answer: 1- b ; 2 - c ; 3 - a Activity 3. Read and complete - Have pupils open their books at Page 23 - Show a photo Linda. - Tell pupils that they are going to read the passage about Linda’s and her brother’s favourite food and drink to get the information.

Write about your favourite food and drink - Have pupils answer the following questions: - What’s your name? - What food do you love? - What drink do you like best? - Get sts’ ideas - Give feedback and contribute - Ask sts write about their favourite food and drink. - Pupils write individually - Monitor the activity, and offer help when necessary. - Call on some pupils to write on the board and other pupils write in the notebooks in individuals. - Have pupils comment the answer on the board. - Call some pupils read aloud their work in front of the class. * Answer: My name is Lan. I love chicken. It’s my favourite food. I like milk. It’s my favourite drink. Activity 5. Wrap -up Summary the lesson - Practice telling about favourite food and drink UNIT 14: WHAT DOES HE LOOK LIKE? LESSON 1 (1 + 2) Time: Wednesday, January 26th 2022 A. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge - Ask and answer questions about someone's physical appearance. - Pupils can ask and answer questions about someone’s physical appearance. - Sentence Patterns: - What does he / she like? + He’s / She’s ____.

INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES - activities pictures - laptop, TV D. LEARNING PLAN Activity 1. Warm -up Drawing some physical appearances -> Lead in the new lesson Activity 2. Look, listen and repeat Have pupils turn their books to Page 24 - Ask pupils about the characters in the pictures - Elicit information from the pictures - Explain the meaning of the language practiced - Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen, and point to the appropriate line in their books. - Play the recording again for pupils to repeat the lines in the speech bubbles. - Repeat the steps a few times. - Some Ss role play and the others comment. - Ask Ss to role play. - Ask Ss to role play before the class - get sts’ ideas about the model sentences: - What does he look like? - He’s tall. - - Monitor the activity, check the pronunciation (stress, assimilation of sounds and intonation), and offer help when necessary. - Call on some pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. The rest of the class observe and give comments if possible. - Make a few questions to check pupils' comprehension of the language. - Have the whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus Activity 4. Wrap up - Retell the content of the lesson. + Vocabulary; Sentence pattern - Guide sts to talk about how their family members look like
