  1. WEEK 11 UNIT 6: WHERE’S YOUR SCHOOL? LESSON 1. 4 + LESSON 3 (4 + 5) Time: Monday, November 22nd 2021 A. OBJECTIVES - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge - Listen and tick the school addresses - Read and complete about Mai’s student card to get the information. - Write the name and address of their school and class - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision 2. Skills: listening, reading and writing 3. Attitudes/ Quality - To help Ss know how to talk about their abilities 4. Forming competence - Communication - Self- study - Apply what they have learned to solve learning tasks - Present in front of the class B. LANGUAGE FOCUS - Sentence Patterns: My name is . My school is It’s in . I’m in class . C. INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES - laptop, loudspeaker - poster D. LEARNING PLAN Activity 1. Warm – up Recite the chant: School, school, school Activity 2. Listen and tick - Have pupils look the pictures with th addresses in each line . - Get sts say aloud - Tell the pupils that they are going to listen 3 dialoges and tick the correct words. - Play the recording twice for pupils listen and choose the correct answers. - Compare the answers with the partner. - Play the recording again pupils check their answers. - T gives the answer: - Have pupils act out the dialogues in pairs or groups for correction. - Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text. * Answer: 1-c ; 2 - a ; 3- c Activity 3. Read and complete - Have pupils turn their books to Page 45 - Tell pupils that they are going to read Mai’s student card to get the information.
  2. - Pupils read the passage individually - Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary. - Ask sts to act out Mai to answer the following questions: 1. What’s your name? 2. What nationality are you? 3. What’s the name of your school? 4. Where is it? - After answering the questions, have sts look at the card and the passage to complete the information. - sts do the task - Get the answer from sts - Give feedback * Answer key: 1. Write about yourself - Have pupils discuss about the content to write: Write the name and address of your school and your class - Get sts’ ideas - Give feedback and contribute - Pupils write individually. - Monitor the activity, and offer help when necessary. - Call on some pupils to write on the board and other pupils write in the notebooks in individuals. - Have pupils comment the answer on the board. - Call some pupils read aloud their work in front of the class. * Suggested answer: My name is (Hoa). I’m from Xuan Thanh village, Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh. I study at Xuan Thanh Primary school. It’s a big school in Xuan Thanh village. I’m in class (4A). Activity 5. Wrap -up Summary the lesson UNIT 7: WHAT DO YOU LIKE DOING? LESSON 1 (1 + 2) Time: Wednesday, November 24th 2021 A. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge - Ask and answer question about what someone like doing. - Sentence Patterns: What do you like doing? − I like _____. - Vocabulary: swimming, cooking, collecting stamps, playing chess 2. Skills - Develop Ss listening & speaking skills.

I like+Verb-ing - Vocabulary: swinmming, cooking, reading, playing chess, collecting stamp, C. INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES - address pictures - laptop, TV D. LEARNING PLAN Activity 1. Warm -up Tell names of some activities Show pictures of some activities and ask sts to tell their names sing, dance,read, cook, skate, play, Activity 2. Look, listen and repeat Have pupils turn their books to Page 46 - Ask pupils about the characters in the pictures - Explain the meaning of the language practised. - Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen, and point to the appropriate line in their books. - Play the recording again for pupils to repeat the lines in the speech bubbles. - Repeat the steps a few times. - Some Ss role play and the others comment. - Ask Ss to role play. - Ask Ss to role play before the class. - Elicit the model sentences: - What do you like doing? + I like reading. Activity 4. Point and say - Play the CD for sts listen through the activities given - Sts listen, point and repeat - Explain the pattern: - What do you like doing? + I like V(ing). - Model - Ask pupils to point and say about the activities by asking and answering Qs about them. - Have pupils point and say a few times

The rest of the class observe and give comments if possible. Activity 5. OBJECTIVES - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to 1. Knowledge - Ask and answer question about someone's hobbies. - Sentence Patterns: What’s your hobby? − I like _____. - Vocabulary: riding a bike, playing badminton, playing a kite, taking photos, watching TV 2. Skills - Listening and speaking. 3. Attitudes/ Quality - United friend 4. Forming competence - To know talk about their class - Practise in pairs B. LANGUAGE FOCUS - Sentence Patterns: - What’s your hobby? + I like . C. INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES - Students’ book (page 54) - Activity pictures on page 32 - laptop, TV D. LEARNING PLAN Activity 1: Warm -up Sing the “I like doing things ” songs Activity 2: Look, Listen and repeat The situation at Music club - Ask pupils the names of the characters and where they are. - Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen, and point to the appropriate line in their books. - Play the recording again for pupils to repeat the lines in the speech bubbles. - Repeat the step a few times. - Some Ss role play and the others comment. - Ask Ss to role play. - Ask Ss to role play before the class.

The rest of the class observe and give respond. Activity 4. Let’s talk - Ask them to read the questions given: What do you like doing? What’s your hobby? - Ask pupils to answer the questions. - Have pupils ask and answer in pairs. - Monitor the activity, check the pronunciation (stress, assimilation of sounds and intonation), and offer help when necessary. - Call on some pairs to perform the task at the front of the class. The rest of the class observe and give comments if possible. - Make a few questions to check pupils' comprehension of the language. - Have the whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus * Suggested answer: 1.
