  1. WEEK 33 Thursday, May 2nd 2024 UNIT 19: OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES Lesson 2 (1-3) I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - understand and correctly repeat the sentences in two communicative contexts focusing on asking and answering about what someone is doing outdoors; - use What’s he / she doing? − He’s / She’s to ask and answer questions about what someone is doing outdoors; 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Vocabulary: park, skating, cycling, flying a kite, skipping - Sentence patterns: What’s he / she doing? − He’s / She’s 2. Skills:speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss about asking and answering about what someone is doing outdoors Kindness: help partners to complete learning tasks Diligence: complete learning tasks Responsibility: appreciate kindness 4. Competences: SS can develop some competences: Communication, planning and organization, stress tolerance, initiative Oral Critical thinking: asking and answering about what someone is doing outdoors. Listening: Look, listen and repeat Oral Communication: Let’s talk about asking and answering about hobbies. Sociability: asking and answering about what someone is doing outdoors, say good words to others. II. TEACHING AIDS / MATERIALS: - Pictures, textbook, computer, projector, flashcards, recording III. METHODS: - Communicative language teaching, contextual teaching and learning, total physical response, games activities teaching, Model-Action-Talk, teaching methods by visual, direction method, audiolingual method. UNIT 19: OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES Lesson 2 - Activity 4, 5, 6 I.OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Listen and tick the correct answers about what someone is doing outdoors. - Look, complete and read with the correct answers about what someone is doing outdoors. - Sing the song: My hobby. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Vocabulary: review - Sentence patterns: review 2. Skills: - Listening, reading and speaking 3. Quality /Attitude: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss about what someone is doing outdoors. Kindness: help partners to complete learning tasks Diligence: complete learning tasks Honesty: ask and answer about what someone is doing outdoors. Responsibility: appreciate kindness Leadership: collaborate with teachers to enhance language skills 4. Competences: SS can develop some competences: -Comunicative and collaborative competence:work in pairs/groups, role play, motivation, adaptability Listening: listen about what someone is doing outdoors. Whispering game. Write Whispering game on the board.
  8. - Divide the class into two teams and have both teams line up in front of the board. - Whisper a word or sentence about outdoor activities (e.g.skating) to the first member of each team. Then each member whispers the -Ss play game words to the next member in the team until the words reach the last member of each team. The last member must say the word aloud. The team which correctly repeats the words first receives a point. - Have the first Ss go to the end of their teams’ lines and replay the game until every student has had a chance to go first - At the end of the game, the team with the most points wins. -SS listen. *Outcome: Ss can play game and listen to and repeat target words about outdoor activities. 3.
