  1. WEEK 7 TIẾNG ANH KHỐI 1 UNIT 4: IN THE BEDROOM Lesson 1 + 2 Time: Monday, Thursday and Friday I. OBJECTIVES: - Pronounce the sound of the letter D/d. - Say the words duck, door, dog, desk. - Say the letter D/d and the words duck, dog, door, desk and the phrases a duck and a dog and a door and a desk in a chant. - Listen and identify the phrases A duck and a dog; A door and a desk. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Vocabulary: duck, door, dog, desk - Sound: /d/ 2. Skills: - Listening and speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students; love something in the bedroom. 4. Competences: SS can develop some competences: -Comunicative and collaborative competence: work in pairs/groups, role play: work in pairs/groups, role play: work in pairs/groups, role play -Problem-solving competence: observing, collecting and analyzing information -Self studying and self - control competence: remembering, recalling and guessing words/phrases -Creative competence, linguistic competence: giving ideas, changing information, giving comments, critical thinking. II. TEACHING AIDS / MATERIALS: - Pictures, Textbook, computer, projector, pictures, recording III. METHODS: - Communicative language teaching, contextual teaching and learning, total physical response, games activities teaching, Model-Action-Talk, teaching methods by visual, direction method, audiolingual method. IV. PROCEDURE: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Activity 1: Warm up:5’ * Aim: help ss to be eager and happy to begin the new lesson. * Procedure: - SS answer.

Listen and repeat:13’ * Aim: help Ss to pronounce the sound of the letter D/d and remember and say some new words: duck, door, dog, desk. * Procedure: - Have Ss look at the picture and answer -Look at the picture and listen. some questions such as What can you see? Can you see a dog? Yes, this is a dog. Draw Ss’ attention to the words next to the things/pets and the colour of the letter D/d . -Ask Ss to point to the letter D/d, saying Look -Point, listen and repeat. at letter D/d. Have them listen and repeat the sound of the letter D/d. - Tell Ss to point to the door and the word -Ss repeat. door. Ask them to listen and repeat the word.Then play the recording again, if necessary, for Ss to do choral and individual repetition. - Repeat the same procedure with the words desk, dog and duck. Correct pronunciation, if -Ss listen and repeat. necessary. Give further support to those Ss who find it difficult to do the task. - In pairs or groups, play the recording again -SS listen, point and repeat. and have them listen, point to the letter D/d and the words desk, dog, door, duck and repeat until they feel confident. - Play the recording again and call a few Ss -SS say in front of the class. to say the sound of the letter D/d and the words desk, dog, door, duck in front of the class. * Outcome: pronounce the sound of the letter D/d and remember and say some new words: duck, door, dog, desk Activity 3. Point and say: 14’ * Aim: help Ss to practise pronouncing the sound of the letter D/d and remember and say some new words: duck, door, dog, desk * Procedure:
  3. - Have Ss look at the picture/poster . Ask - Look at the picture and them to describe the picture. E.g. 1a: a dog, 1b: a duck. - Play the recording for Ss to listen and tick - Ss listen and check. the box. *Key: 1.a 2. b. - Let ss to listen again and check . *Outcome: improve listening skill with

Look and trace.10’ *Aim: help Ss to look and trace with the sound of the letter D/d. *Procedure: -SS look and listen. - Have Ss look at the letter D (upper case) and d (lower case). Ask Ss to make sure if they recognize the two forms of the letter. - Tell Ss to trace the letter D/d. T can demonstrate by air tracing or tracing the broken lines of the letter D/d on the board. -SS trace. -Then let Ss do the tracing. Give further support to those Ss who find it difficult to do the task. -SS check. - Check the results of Ss’ tracing and give feedback. Ask Ss to work in pairs and swap their answers. Give Ss time to work. Go around and offer help, if necessary. -SS show. - Ask some Ss to show what they have done. - With a better class, write the letter D/d in broken lines on the board and invite some Ss to trace them. - SS listen. Activity 6. Consolidation(2’) - Asking Ps to focus on sounds and vocabulary again. - SS listen and take note. Activity 7. Homelink (1’) Practice more at home. - Prepare new lesson.
