1. WEEK 18 Tuesday, January 3rd 2022 Unit 3: At the street market Lesson 2 A. Objective: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Pupils will be able to say the sound of the letter A/a and the words apple, hat, can and bag in a chant. - Pupils will be able to listen, recognize the words and tick the correct boxes. - Pupils will be able to trace the letter A/a (upper case and lower case). 2. Skills. - Listening, reading and speaking. 3. Attitude/ Quality: - Have concentration, listen carefully, express idea during lesson - To help Ss loving English. C. Teaching aids: CD, Phonics cards D. Procedure: I. Warm-up: - Greet students - Recall the 4 words with the A sound: hat, apple, Ann, bag II. New lesson: 1. Point and say: - Show the pictures - Elicit names of things in the pictures: hat, apple, Ann, bag - Run through the words – sts listen and repeat - Point – sts look and say words/ pictures one by one - Get sts point and say name and things one by one - Call some sts come to the board, point and say - Give feedback 2. Chant: - Show the chant on the board - Read through the sentences - Have listen and repeat the sentences - Play the tape a few times. - Ask them to listen again and repeat. - Have sts practice chanting in groups of 4 - Call some groups chant aloud - Give feedback 3. Listen and tick: - Elicit students the names of things in pairs in the pictures given - Give feedback - Have sts run through the names of things again - Present what they have to do in this part - Play the CD. Have the students listen and tick (twice) - Get sts’answers - Play the CD again. The students listen and check their answer - Give feedback * Key: 1. a; 2. b

Projects (Workbook): Find and colour hat, apple, bag and Ann - Show the picture on the screen - Ask sts to find where is hat/ apple/ bag/ Ann - Have sts listen to the things that teacher says and colour them one by one - Listen and colour the pictures - Go around to check the sts’ work - Give feedback IV. Wrap-up: - Recite the chant Friday, January 6th 2022 Unit 3: At the street market Lesson 3 A. Objective: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: + Practice speaking the sentence about introducing their things; + Practice writing the letter Aa and complete the words; + Pronounce again the /a/ sound and use the right words and sentence This is my hat. 2. Skills. - Listening, reading and speaking. 3. Attitude/ Quality: - Have concentration, listen carefully, express idea during lesson - To help Ss loving English. C. Teaching aids: CD, Phonics cards D. Procedure: I. Warm-up: - Greet students - Recite the Aa chant II. Procedure: 1. Let’s talk: - Sts will be able to use the model sentences in introduce one thing - Have sts look at 4 pictures, elicit the names - Point to the cat, model: This is my cat. - Point to the hat, model: This is my hat. - Do the same with bag and apple - Have sts work in pairs, base on the model to practice talking - Call some sts talk aloud - Give feedback 2. Look and write; Look, write then say (3, 4 in Workbook) - Sts will be able to write and use the letter A/a in right way
3. - Guide sts to write letter A in Sts’ book and workbook - Have sts write (trace) the letter A, a in lines in their books - Ask ss to fill in the gaps with suitable form of letter A - Check and give feedback * Key: Annbagapple hat III. Song: - Run through the words in the song. - Read – sts repeat - Play the CD. The students listen and sing along. - Play the CD again. The pupils sing and do corresponding actions. - Call some pairs sing aloud - Give feedback. IV. Wrap-up: - Have sts introduce about their things: This is my hat.
